ALTAR SERVERS

Anyone age 5th grade through the silver sneakers crowd is able to serve at Mass. The training you will receive will prepare you for a first hand participation in the celebration of the Eucharist.
ANGEL DUSTERS - ALTAR SOCIETY

This organization cleans the church on Friday morning after the 8:00 AM Communion Service. The routine consists of dusting, straightening the books, vacuuming, cleaning the glass doors, and changing the Holy Water. Anyone that is available during the time is welcomed and encouraged to join. It usually takes about one hour to clean the entire Church.
ANNUAL CATHOLIC APPEAL (ACA)

A group of parishioners organize and conduct the Annual Catholic Appeal each spring. This Archdiocesan appeal achieves its leve; of success through the participation of all parishes. It is the major source of funding for the St. Louis Archdiocese. .This fund enables services which no one parish could provide on its own. Volunteers are needed for contacting members and solicitations.
BIBLE STUDY WITH FR. BOB
Tuesday afternoons starting at 1:30 PM until 3:00 PM in Feckter Hall
Wednesday evenings starting at 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM in Fecter Hall.
CHURCH DECORATING

This Ministry prepares our Church of each season, as well as during ordinary times. they decorate the Altar area with coverings, banners, and flowers. Are you an artistic creative type? Do you love to decorate inside? Then, come join us.
COMMUNION TO THE HOMEBOUND

To be a member of this ministry, you must be at least 18 years. A brief training session is involved along with the Pastor's approval. You will be given some names of homebound parishioners. For more information, contact the Parish Office.
EUCHARISTIC ADORERS

Eucharistic Adoration is held the first Tuesday of each month. This Ministry is open to all who desire to spend some time in the presence of Our Lord.
EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS

Members of this ministry help to distribute the Body and Blood of Jesus at Mass. A brief training session is involved along with the Pastor's approval. Once this is complete, the Eucharistic Ministers will be commissioned and names will be added to the schedule.

This organization is open to all individuals of couples 50 or more years of age. meetings are held on the 4th Thursday of each month in the school gym at 1:00 PM. This group can be seen around St. Bernadette's boarding a bus for one of their trips, decorating the Church with seasonal displays, beautifying the grounds or spending an hour in the presence of Jesus in Eucharistic Adoration. Their activities are spotlighted in the bulletin each week and on their own section of the website.
FINANCE COMMITTEE

This committee advises the Pastor on financial matters including the parish budget and property maintenance and the Stewardship Education effort for the Parish. Members are appointed by the Pastor. For more information, please contact the Parish Office.
FUNERAL HOSPITALITY COMMITTEE

This group coordinates a meal for the family of a deceased parishioner when requested. Some of the duties include donating and/or preparing the food, coordinating the meal or serving in a special way during this time in the family's life.
GARDENING & LANDSCAPING

This Ministry is an arm of the Church Decorating Committee. If you have a green thumb, or have always had an interest in gardening or landscaping, why not consider joining us? Do you prefer to work outside in the sunshine, or just like to dig in the dirt? The, this is the spot for you!
GIFT BEARERS
Any Catholic Member that has received the Sacrament of First Holy Communion can participate in this Ministry. Individuals, couples and families are welcomed and encouraged to present the offertory during Holy Mass.
HOSPITAL VISITATION

Members of this ministry periodically visit those that are in the hospitals and/or nursing homes. Visiting a person for one hour in a nursing home may seem like something small to us, but to that person it can brighten them and keep them upbeat for the rest of the week. Also, this ministry would coordinate with the Parish Office for accurate record-keeping of homebound/ill members.
HOSPITALITY MINISTERS/USHERS

Members of this ministry are the official greeters for our Eucharistic Celebration. This ministry places you as the "Director of First Impressions" for all choosing to celebrate the Eucharist here. Members also gather the Offertory collection and oversee the general good order of our worship service. Any Catholic Member age 14 or older is eligible to join.
LECTORS

Any Catholic member that has received the sacrament of Confirmation and wishes to proclaim the Sacred Scripture at our liturgies is encouraged and welcome to do so. The office of Lector is an important lay function. There is a brief training required with the approval of the Pastor. Once the training and approval has been completed.
LITURGICAL LAUNDRY

Members from this ministry launder the purificators, albs. towels, and other necessary items used in the Celebration of the Liturgy. All are welcome. "Many hands make light work."
MEAL-A-MONTH "FEED MY PEOPLE"

Meal-A-Month and the local Feed My People work together to help provide basic items for our neighbors that are less fortunate than we are.
PARISH COUNCIL

The Council consists of twelve members. The Parish Council aims to foster a stronger faith community, with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, to educate ourselves in faith, to celebrate God's presence among us, and to serve the needs of our pasih family members, The Council meets quarterly. The council meetings are open to any member of the parish.
PRAYER HOT LINE

This group prays for parishioners and their loved ones that have a need ... This is a perfect ministry for homebound members to give of their time, and continue the close connection with St. Bernadette's.
RESPECT LIFE APOSTOLATE

This organization is devoted to furthering respect for all human life from "the womb to the tomb". Involvement includes prayer, working for social justice, and community outreach. If this ministry tugs at your heart strings would you consider using your special gifts to further it's mission?
RIGHT OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS

This program is for those wishing to know more about the Catholic faith, whether non baptized, members of another church or Catholics returning to the practice of their faith. Sponsors, hospitality people, and team members are needed. For more information, please call the Parish Office.
ST. VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY

The Mission of the St. Vincent de Paul Society is to see the face of Christ in every person they encounter. On a practical level, we minister to the physical needs of the underserved and needy of our parish, as well as the surrounding area. Meetings are held every month in the Parish Office. Members of this organization should have a compassionate nature and be willing to listen to the needs of others.
STEWARDSHIP EDUCATION COMMITTEE

The Stewardship Education Committee serves under the Parish Council and reports to the Pastor. This committee is responsible for supporting a faith conversion process in the parish. The conversion process should lead the parish into increased commitment to prayer, participation, and payback. Community building, communications, and appreciation are vital parts of this process.
WELCOMING COMMITTEE

Members of this ministry visit new parishioners and welcome them into St. Bernadette's. They offer help to get the families settled in and acquainted with the parish community.
